Liftech evaluated the strength of the existing wharf at Portsmouth Marine Terminals using state-of-the-art methods, including the strut-and-tie method, to justify increasing the rated capacity of the existing wharf structures by as much as 35%, eliminating the need to strengthen the wharves or to limit the operations of the larger, newly purchased cranes.
Liftech also designed new stowage hardware for the newly purchased cranes and for the new stowage locations of existing cranes. The design facilitated installation and integration with the existing wharf structures.
